Our Story
In 2021, a friend living abroad approached Brooke to help her furnish a new home from vacant to work~ and school-from-home ready in 2 weeks. She invited her good friend, Natalie, to help pull it off. Natalie jumped at the opportunity to manage a fun project on a tight deadline – after a decade long career in project management at an international bank. Brooke’s eight years of interior design experience made them the perfect team for the job.
It was a short leap from that project to staging their first house the following month – an investment property owned by a relative. Their work spoke for itself, and in no time, buyers’ agents were reaching out with properties to be staged – leading to an exciting time of procuring a beautiful collection of furniture and décor.
With their exceptional service and eye for detail, they formed trusted relationships with prominent realtors. And so Kaya Staging continues to grow!
Natalie thrives on managing the logistics for both the business itself and the clients – ensuring no detail is missed and that all stakeholders are working together along a coordinated, efficient timeline.
Brooke constantly refreshes the Kaya Staging style – creating beautiful, cozy spaces that draw people in.
The word “Kaya” is derived from the Zulu word, “khaya” which means “home”. As a native South African, Natalie loves the warm, welcoming feeling that “khaya” invokes. It’s that feeling that they strive to create in all the homes they stage. Welcome home.
“We have been working with Kaya Staging for multiple projects now, and every time they exceed our expectations. The team is professional, flexible, and efficient. They have a great eye for detail and always create beautiful and inviting spaces that help to sell properties quickly.”
